My interest in creature art began many years ago when I first saw the dark crystal. Since then I have always been painting and drawing, then around 15 years ago I discovered sculpting and I haven't looked back. I spent a time studying at the Arts institute at Bournemouth (now the Arts University at Bournmouth) on their degree in modelmaking for design and media. Once graduated I worked on a few movies and TV programs doing all kinds of jobs from miniatures to props to prosthetics. I eventually decided to step out of the industry in 2010 so I could work on my own stuff and here I am now.
